The renovation of the house was an opportunity to rethink our way of life, until then rather urban. A few trips made us discover the nordic countries, the experience of living in Belgium, very modern in its management of resources, shows us that today we must consume differently, in a simpler and more responsible way? We are 40 and 45 years old, 3 young children, engaged and entrepreneurial, volunteers to save a fantastic heritage...


We are setting up a wood shredding boiler... The wood of the property allows the complete heating of the house. The house is well warmed, comfortable in winter, while living on clean energy . Today, only fallen trees will be shredded. We have a management plan, to replant regularly.


We have tried, as much as possible, to keep all the elements left in the house. For example, the kitchen tiles were cleaned and cut one by one before replacing the old floor . The earthenware of the bathrooms of the 1st floor were discovered in the outbuildings, some pieces of furniture left behind will be given a new life...


The vegetable garden and the animals are also very important elements, which we will integrate as we go along. The house has the logistic capacities to produce its own energy, with its orchard, its old vegetable garden, the well, the meadows... the woods... 


The greenhouse, produces some seasonal vegetables... help yourself ;-) The little extra of the greenhouse: the engineers of the time had thought of everything, a Canadian well installed a few meters away allows to fetch water in depth (18° - 20°) and will feed (thanks to an old pump) the heating pipes installed in the greenhouse ... And hop, we can cultivate a little bit in winter ;-)

In thinking about this concept of guest house, we had to include local partners, with local philosophy and thus make our travelers discover the richness of our region, our breeders, producers, market gardeners ...


We have searched and tested, all the products that we will propose you in our Packages. Privileging thus the short circuits of our region, you will taste a meat raised a few km away, the dairy products come from the farm "Lait Loges", in St Paul Le Gaultier (14km), the market gardening of the farm "Les petits chiantins", organic agriculture in Saint Georges Le Gaultier (12km) will make you rediscover forgotten and seasonal vegetables...


And many other projects are under study... maybe the first animals soon...
